Today I'm posting pictures of two distict sets of footprints on the beach

The first one is that of Chaos Boy running on the beach at Dana Bay near Mossel Bay...

... while the second is that (well, can't really call it a set, more like a trail) of a plough snail

  1. Both look cool and Chaos boy looks to having a lot of fun.

  2. I have just finished reading Lee Berger's book called In the Footsteps of Eve about the set of fossil footprints that were discovered at Langebaan and dated to 117 000 years ago. Maybe these will be too ...
I love these ploughsnails - when I first started out as Education Officer of the SA Museum - a hundered million years ago, one of my first Museum Club outings was to the beach to observe the behavior of these Bullia species with Charlie Griffiths and George Branch from UCT. Fascinating.

  3. I love, love, love both of these! Makes me feel as if I am home - I can smell the ocean and feel that cool wet sand beneath my feet :)
