It is difficult to tell how big that hole is from the photograph. My mind tells me that the hole is just big enough for some kind of large burrowing animal :) definitely not me, but then again I can always be tempted to look. Cannot remember what was being mined in those hills or in those caves. Something valuable and worth the risk?
Hi Jonker, I will definitely have to make a trip to Sleepy Hollow. I have always wanted to visit the old silver mines, but somehow never got around to it.

Looks like fun, if you have a flashlight. Yet I rather prefer natural caves to mine shafts.
